Tiered Cake Contract

RESERVING THE DATE:

To officially reserve Oakmont Bakery to create your tiered cake, a $50 non-refundable deposit is required. This amount will be deducted from your final balance.


CAKE STAND DEPOSITS:

Stands must be returned within 3 days of event, in good condition. Individual stand components can not be replaced. Missing parts will result in NO REFUND of deposit.


FRESH FLOWERS:

All fresh flowers for your cake are provided by your florist. Please be sure to tell your florist what flowers you want on the cake and how many. If you have a specific design from our book in mind, be sure to relay the information to the florist to ensure the same overall look.


GUMPASTE FLOWERS:

The gumpaste flowers provided by Oakmont Bakery contain wire and are therefore considered inedible. It is your responsibility to communicate this information to your caterer and any guests who may be served product containing gumpaste flowers.


CAKE TOPPERS AND OTHER ORNAMENTS:

Under the following terms and conditions, our experts will place cake toppers and ornaments that you provide on your cake:

-Cake toppers, ribbon, and any special decorations must be dropped off at the bakery at least 2 weeks before the event.

-All items must be ready to use. (i.e.: cleaned, assembled and ready for placement.)

-It is your responsibility to inform the caterer of any inedible decorations on your cake.

-Oakmont Bakery reserves the right to refuse to place any items on the cake that we deem unstable or unsuitable.


SATIN RIBBON:

Oakmont Bakery will place ribbon on your tiered cake for no additional cost. Please keep in mind that fabric ribbons will absorb moisture from the icing, making the color of the ribbon appear darker. We suggest going with a lighter ribbon shade or choosing fondant ribbon in place of fabric for darker colors such as navy, purple, red, and brown.


PRIVATE HOME RECEPTIONS:

Purchaser is responsible to make sure that there is a cake table available at delivery time. Unless specified otherwise, the table must be a minimum of 36 inches in diameter. The table must be secure, level and in a shaded area. The table must be able to support a minimum of 50 pounds. Please restrain any animals that may be on site at delivery time. Once the cake is set up it is no longer the responsibility of Oakmont Bakery.

Oakmont Bakery will set up the tiered cake and leave an extra box for the top tier. Cake box and any other boxes (i.e. cake topper box) will be left for you under the cake table unless otherwise directed.


ORDER CHANGES:

Any major changes must be communicated to Oakmont Bakery as soon as possible. These include: date, location of reception, time of delivery, etc. Due to scheduling, we may not be able to be accommodate delivery changes after booking.


FINALIZING YOUR ORDER:

Orders must be finalized no later than 14 days prior to the event date. At that time everything on the contract will be finalized including final payment in cash or by credit card.


CANCELLATIONS:

If you should choose to cancel your order, you will be refunded the amount paid, minus the $50 non-refundable deposit. For cancellations within 1 week from the event date, no refund shall be given.


WE CONFIRM ALL ORDERS & CHANGES VIA E-MAIL, TELEPHONE OR FAX. If you do not receive a confirmation from us, then we did not receive the order or change.
