A Danish New Year’s pretzel is a made with Danish dough and formed into the shape of a pretzel.  It is traditionally eaten on New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day to bring good luck and prosperity in the new year.  The tradition is thought to have originated from the way German monks prayed with their arms crossed in front of their chests during their evening prayers on New Year’s Eve.

Our Danish New Year’s Pretzels are unfilled and drizzled with a variety of vanilla, chocolate, or maple icings, and some are topped with sprinkles or walnuts.

This product has a 3 day shelf life at room temperature.  To extend life of product, we recommend freezing.  Thaw in refrigerator.
