Originating in 12th Century England, Anglican Monks made Hot Cross buns as an after Lent treat served on Good Friday.  These buns were marked with a cross on top to signify the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.   The fruits and spices added to the buns represent health and prosperity.  Our Fruit Hot Cross Buns are made with Glazed Orange Peel, Glazed Lemon Peel, Glazed Pineapple & Glazed Strawberries.
